RRB Technician Notification 2026 Out
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has started the recruitment process for 6,557 Technician vacancies through CEN No. 02/2026. The vacancies include 323 posts for Technician Grade 1 Signal and 6,234 posts for Technician Grade 3. The Railway Recruitment Board has announced 6,565 vacancies under the RRB Technician Recruitment 2026. Out of these, 323 vacancies are for Technician Grade I Signal, while 6,242 vacancies are for Technician Grade III posts.

Railway Technician Eligibility Grade 1 and 3
To be eligible for the RRB Technician Recruitment 2026, candidates must meet the prescribed requirements related to age, nationality, and educational qualifications.
Nationality
A candidate must belong to one of the following categories:
- A citizen of India
- A citizen of Nepal or Bhutan
- A Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before 1st January 1962 to settle permanently
- A person of Indian origin who migrated from specific countries (such as Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Kenya, etc.) to settle in India permanently.

The age limit for Technician Grade 1 is 18 to 33 years, and for Technician Grade 3 is 18 to 30 years. Reserved category candidates will receive age relaxation as per government rules.

RRB Technician Grade 1 and 3 Salary

RRB Technician 2026 CBT Pattern
The Computer-Based Test (CBT) pattern is different for Technician Grade I Signal and Technician Grade III posts. Before starting their preparation, candidates should carefully check the post-wise exam pattern, including the number of questions, marking scheme, and exam duration.
Technician Grade I Exam Pattern

RRB Technician 2026 Preparation Tips
- Understand the post-wise syllabus and exam pattern. Both are slightly different for Grade 1 and 3 posts.
- Pick topics and allot time according to your weaknesses and strengths.
- The difficulty level of the CBT is generally easy to moderate, but the cut-off might go high due to high competition, so prepare with a safe margin.
